After months of not blogging I had completely forgotten what I had learned using elementor/wordpress. What should have been less than an hour to write took quite a few. Then when I didn’t get a notice about the post I started to worry whether my posts were even going out.
Turns out they weren’t! So spent another few (more) chatting with my server host, AI trying to figure out how to fill in configurations. I did, in the end, figure it out and was successful with the test email! Yay!
Seems that computer technology is not that same as riding a bike! Although, can’t really see myself trying to get on a bike!
So here is the link to yesterdays’ post: still-here
Lesson learned, don’t take for granted what you know today. Keep using them so they will always be there for you. Hope this goes out smoothly!
Khubeza is a wild plant and grows abundantly in my wild back yard.

Carol, I celebrate your persistence and resilience, short in supply though they might feel to you. Those not-practiced-enough-times-to-be-automatic computer skills are challenging, to say the least, but look at you! Here you are, sharing your thoughts and art. So grateful to see your post!
I’m not familiar with khubeza, at least not by name, but your khubeza drawn on an open paper bag has a compelling raw immediacy. I love that you are able to take what is to hand and make art—computer bedevilments be damned and your own inner resilience be celebrated as you live surrounded by the current intense conflict in the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas. The smoky black area contrasted with the lightly rendered fine linework, and the plain makeshift ‘canvas’ contrasted with the patches of lovely color are poignant and telling.
Sending love and prayers.
