Today I want to share a quote by Kurt Vonnegut, that I heard in my daily mindfulness, First This. “And I asked myself about the present: how wide it was, how deep it was, how much was mine to keep.” I do have a choice of what I do with this moment! I can enjoy it or ruminate and hold on to negative thoughts or let them go.
I take each day, moment, as it comes. Trying to enjoy it and move on to the next. Trying but not always successful!
The more I do these small studies the more I like the process. Both were done with same color palette and same prompts. Both quite different

Dearest Caro
I love the way y express yourself.
I think that we should enjoy the moment and not expect something special to happend.
We must also learn to live and appriciat ourselves.
Your work is so gentel sensitive and vharming.
Sorry about spelling mistakes its my phone .
Thanks, Shoshi! Always appreciate your support and feedback. Don’t worry about typos. You can also write in Hebrew.
עבודה מעניינת הם דומים בצבעים איך שונים מקסים
Yes, I used the same colors in both. Wonderful to learn to limit my palette and get so many surprises.
oh my goodness – we are seeking the same place – the present! Love the quote, love the art, love this moment right here, reading your blog. xoxoxo
Sometimes I have to limit my “5 minute” plan to one minute or less. No place like NOW! My trying to compose some sort of clever reply. I am such a non-verbal person. It’s mid-morning, think I’ll go to my table and so some scribbles, or maybe do the analysis of a PIP that needs a push in the right direction.
Maybe both! Thanks so much for your feedback and support! xoxoxo
Fun being able to see what same color palette and same prompt can yield! The first has such a strong diagonal energy, the second much more vertical. Thank you for sharing the Kurt Vonnegut quotation “And I asked myself about the present: how wide it was, how deep it was, how much was mine to keep.” I’ve never thought to ask those questions about being present. I’ll be musing as I go through my day.
Thanks for your feedback. I think the orientation/diagonal vs horizontal stems from the early prompts that give the main structure, make 3 lines top to bottom turn 90 and make 2 lines. The second is more grid like, something I tend to do.
What was the problem with the notifications? I still muse on that quote!
צבעים יפים ממש!
אהבתי מאוד את הציטוט, זה מאתגר להיות בהווה ולא בתוך הראש שלנו.
I like these — soft, ethereal and structurally strong at the same time.
