My art blog… what’s on my easel… daily painting… sketches… digital stuff …photography…challenges…and a bit of poetry

Seems that lately I have been making new starts, new posts ,but nothing seems to going any where!

Maybe this is some sort of test, examination, to keep my mind busy! Well maybe that’s a good thing.

Today Monday

Shopping went well no

alerts, no traffic problems

Every thing in place

Nice breakfast with Ruth

alert, not in our area, playing

with my blog with hopes

Days run into days

minutes run into minutes

Best time to shower?

Sun is shining warm

the cats want their Friskies

all I need for now!

  1. Thank you so much for these posts! It is so good to “hear” you and to know what your world looks and feels like there. Thank goodness for art and blogging and showers, for Ruth, for breakfast and cats! Sending hugs and so much love! xo

    1. Waking up in the mamad and seeing that somehow mails are going out to my subscribers really made my day. I am pretty good with computer setups but this time takes the cake! So happy that you felt my words! Have lots of editing to do on the Blog Post notification. At the time thought it wasn’t active.

  2. I have received a post! With a wonderful poem! Your words carry considerable punch without actually punching. They are simple, plain-spoken, mostly one syllable. They move out and abstractly general (days run into days) and in and concretely specific (Friskies). They touch on danger (alerts) and calm (sun is shining warm). End with presence and equanimity. Nice stack of haiku!

I like the looseness of your sketch and its open-endedness: it could be no more than lines, scribbles, shading, white space; it could be a representation of beds. Alerts could be sounding, Or there could be hushed peacefulness. But the drawing, as an action, feels present, all you need right now.

    1. Happy happy day! Mails are moving. Now to edit the new blog notification….. another learning curve!
Thank you so much for your feedback on my group of haikus. I was surprised because I felt it was a poem with no focus and connection.
Thanks for the feedback on the sketch. Part scribble and part representational. Since taking Sara’s workshops I love scribbling.

  3. Hi Carol.
Doing the best you can, is sometimes all you can do. Maybe it doesn’t need to go anywhere.
Finding joy and peace in the small things, that’s a blessing, and chance for your mind to calm.
I’m so glad you have furry ones to keep you company. Brachot. xoxo

    1. Yes, it’s the little things that really matter! My internet connections mean a lot to me, so when my posts were not “going anywhere” was very frustrating. With my new mail service things are improving!
