What a surprise! Lior, Mor and Amir my grandkids made me a book from my blog posts. What a project, I was dumbfounded, it was so emotional for me. There are images that I had completely forgotten about.
Each page with the year. Even a poem that I wrote!
What a thoughtful gift, something that I will always treasure!
THANK YOU!

כן קיבלתי ספר מדהים
What a beautiful gift, Carol! You are truly loved and admired for your creative work. By your family and the rest of us. ♥️
Thanks Diana., I feel really blessed! What really surprised me were the works that I did in Ireland. I was really disappointed with them at the time. 3 years and I view them differently. All the best on your move.
I can truly know how much work was done on a project of this scope. I greatly appreciate all the effort that went into it. ❤️
מתנה נפלאה שמאירה על הכישרון המופלא שלך! יצא מדהים! איזה יופי ואיזה מרגש

Thanks so much! Yes a treasure!
Well, I don’t know what happened to comment I wrote to you immediately following receipt of this post except to say that my family has been together in various combinations and permutations for 10+ days and (a) we’ve experienced an unusually high number of unusual occurrences and (b) I wrote my comment during this time we’ve been together!

Carol, the book Lior, Mor, and Amir have made for you is a gift beyond measure! I’ve followed your blog for most of its years, and seeing the essence of those posts in this beautiful book format is powerful. The artistic sensibilities of your grandchildren shines through the magnificent curation of your art here in book form. And what a magnificent body of work you’ve created, Carol!
Please remind me what kind of work you did between RISD and retirement? Did you move to Israel soon after graduating? In what ways did you have a creative practice during your working years?
Thank you so much for that lovely tribute. I can’t count the times I made comments and forgot to click the button. Sounds like you had a busy month! It’s great having family visits and it can be quite intense.
I made aliyah the October after graduation. I went to a kibbutz at. first to learn the language through the Jewish Agency, worked half day studied half a day. Met my husband there and decided to leave. Not much art getting settled, raising children. I did a few art courses from work, a perk. Really got back after retirement, rest is history. A very short history.
We’ve been following each other for I can’t remember when/where?
What work did you do?
I think we met sometime around 2015, most likely through one of Leslie Saeta’s 30-in-30 Painting Challenges.
I worked in the textile industry. I learned pattern making and in the end was using computer special for that work. Enjoyed but the pay was bad!
Dearest Carol
You have created a beautiful book. You managed to gather little lovely memories and art born from your heart.
I love your book. remined me of times we shared.
A big hug,
Shoshi
First I didn’t make the the book, 3 of my grandkids produced it taking images from my blog posts over the years. I was completely surprised!
Yes, there are fond memories from our workshop time together.
