A one page black sketchbook. First layer had oils and cold wax varying shapes. Added layers with neocolor I wax crayons and large graphite stick. Abstracting the context of large areas in nature ex: sky land water with a grain of salt and imagination!

  1. Carol, this small one page black sketchbook is fabulous! I keep scrolling through again and again, loving each and every image as well as the sequence of them. I am particularly drawn to the movement and energy of your back-and-forth and up-and-down strokes of color, and their contrast/juxtaposition to quieter fields of color. Is this a concertina? What are the dimensions when opened fully? So compelling.
