My art blog… what’s on my easel… daily painting… sketches… digital stuff …photography…challenges…and a bit of poetry

I know, it’s been a long time, much too long! I am living a minute by minute existence. Alerts, sirens and all clear runs my  days. But, this morning, looking out my bedroom window, my Mulberry tree has sprouted small yellow-green leaves. What, all of a sudden! So my attempt at Haiku!

It’s been so long I have completely forgotten how to use Elementor in Word Press!  Didn’t help to get an alert/siren in the middle! Now let’s see if I remember how to post! click images to enlarge

  1. Praying for you and your family, Carol. Hope you get actual berries! Absolutely love what you did with your pieces, the collage work, the colors, the lines tying all together, the warms vs. cools. Kudos and Pink Bubbles…xo Meredith

  3. Carol, so happy to see new posts at your blog! So sorry for all the surrounding circumstances making day-to-day LIVING precarious and extremely challenging, with alerts, sirens, and all-clears running your days. I am humbled by your haiku and scrap art! Hurrah for you! The joy of the emerging mulberry leaves outside your window is heartening! Outwardly, nature is celebrating your inner ongoing growth and ability to prevail, and the simplicity of your haiku makes it powerful. I am very taken by your two pieces of scrap art. Great idea to take scraps of old work and use them as collage prompts for generating new art, also a way of celebrating your ongoing growth and ability to prevail. I send love and prayers.

    1. Thank you for your feedback, which is more than just feedback. I was so happy to be able to express my joy of seeing the early budding of my tree, really took me by surprise! Thank you for just being there for me!

  4. I am so happy to see you here! You are on my mind every day – sending all kinds of safety and good mojo your way! Love the bits of spring (and haiku!) and the way they uplift our spirits. Big hugs, lovely friend! xoxo

    1. I am so happy to be back. Hoping that the tech problems will be solved. Had a long chat with my host and he says it should be fixed, says it was a dns problem. Wish the world could be fixed so quickly. Thanks for being there for me! xo xo xo

  5. I love these both, Carol. Love that you reused “old” art. It’s inspiring that you are managing to create, and that you are persisting through your WordPress struggles. It seems defiant, and hopeful and celebratory all at once. So inspiring, Carol!
I see your art cards daily, (framed, hanging across from my desk). I think you you, and the joy your art brings me. And … “I say a little prayer for you.” (Hearing that song again.)
God Bless and protect you, your loved ones, and all who are in such precarious uncertainty. 🙏🙏🙏

    1. Yes it’s great using snips of old stuff. When I am creating it keeps my mind on what I am doing, keeps me sane! I also have a collection of all the artwork you sent. brachot
