Chaos is what I am feeling these days. Always looking at the phone if there are alerts, really can’t focus. My sleep is almost none…. 2 alerts last night, first 12:30 second 1:30. About 25 total missiles, no direct hits !

This piece started a few days ago shows my feelings, chaotic, fragmented and totally not in control!

And, to add more my former mailer isn’t working and this is being sent with another configuration. So, fingers crossed you will receive it, if not I know I have to go back to configurations. Why can’t things be simple anymore.

I just want to eat my lunch and then take a legitimate nap!

  1. Carol, just letting you know that I did receive your alternative platform mailing. And that you are in my thoughts. And that I continue to admire both your ability to visually express your inner world so effectively and your persistence and absolute dedication to doing so. Hugs!

    1. Thanks so much! Mail problems have been resolved. They updated their plug-in. Thanks again for your thoughts. Praying for better days.

  2. Carol, so glad to see you here! Both because it means the mailer you used worked and because it lets you be in the company of folks who love you and your art. So sorry to know you are so directly in the midst of chaos, with interrupted sleep, missiles, alerts, and all the attendant feelings. What a gift that you have your art to express the disturbing feelings of chaos, loss of focus, fragmentation, and loss of control, replete with computer conundrums adding insult to injury.

Thank you for sharing your expressive, vulnerable art.

May you eat lunch and take a restorative nap!

    With hugs, Dotty

    1. The mail you got was not sent by my mailer, was sent by me. Mail issue however has been resolved. thanks for your feedback means so much to me. It is 6:30, have to shower, don’t want alerts to catch me in the shower. Yes, this is my new reality! Yes, and thank God I have my art and computer to keep me busy!

  3. Hi Carol — I’m reminded by your words, and this piece, of WB Yeats’ poem, The Second Coming, which begins:
“Turning and turning in a widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer…” You might like it.

Your continuing representations of inner and physical chaos are so compelling! There seems to be more overall structure beneath the dispersed marks and diverse shapes recently, and a new range of values and colors. Looking forward to seeing more of this progression.
Meanwhile, stay as protected as conditions allow, as we all pray for you and your family’s safety!♥️

    1. Thanks Diana! I will look into the poem. Love poetry but find it hard to understand. Your feedback means so much. Don’t know when or if I will get back to this but I do see the underlying structure. Praying for better times!

  4. Carol…. I imagine sotting with you in the night, listening to the alerts, feeling the chaos and unrest…please know I think of you daily and am sending gentle hugs and so much love.

That you create art in the chaos and uncertainty is a shining beacon to us all. Xoxoxxo
