A one page black sketchbook. First layer had oils and cold wax varying shapes. Added layers with neocolor I wax crayons and large graphite stick. Abstracting the context of large areas in nature ex: sky land water with a grain of salt and imagination!

Carol, this small one page black sketchbook is fabulous! I keep scrolling through again and again, loving each and every image as well as the sequence of them. I am particularly drawn to the movement and energy of your back-and-forth and up-and-down strokes of color, and their contrast/juxtaposition to quieter fields of color. Is this a concertina? What are the dimensions when opened fully? So compelling.
Thanks so much for the feedback…. that up down back forth is how my hand works at least since art school maybe before! Not concertina its about 14x 19 inch open. somewhere I have a link how to make it. but I save small version and use them to re-learn. That’s when I found it and filled it in as part of an assignment. I will photograph and add it to the page.
